WALDEMAR O ALPINISTA

Waldemar Niclevicz, é Brasileiro, nascido em Foz do Iguaçu, mais próximo das águas do que das montanhas, seu contato com o excursionismo foi tomando forma quando passou a residir em Curitiba - PR, caminhadas na Serra do Mar foram servindo de degraus para conquistas maiores.
   Itatiaia - RJ, apareceria como o campo escola para escaladas e aprimoramento das técnicas verticais. Levado pelo desejo de aventura, em 1985 teve seu primeiro contato com o mundo andino, Machu Picchu foi o marco zero da jornada impressionante deste esportista Brasileiro.
   Retornando a Curitiba, começou a trabalhar em uma fábrica de mochilas e guiando grupos para as montanhas e cavernas, auxiliado pelo aprendizado no curso de Turismo realizado pela Universidade Federal do Paraná. 
   Fevereio de 1988 - feito memorável para Waldemar e o esporte, após alcançar o cume do Monte Aconcagua, outras montanhas foram surgindo como novos e emocionantes desafios: Ojos Del Salado - Chile; Illimani - Bolívia; Huascaran - Peru; Chimborazo - Equador; Matterhorn -  Suiça/Itália, dentre tantas outras.

LEVANDO O BRASIL AO TOPO DO MUNDO

   Em 1991 a possibilidade de escalar o Everest já se tornara real, mas as dificuldades com equipamentos criaram uma barreira para a conquista, mas a persistência foi mais forte e em 1995 Wlademar Nicleviz conquistou o mais almejado sonho.    Dentre muitas montanhas no mundo o K2 é a que mais instiga seus desafiantes, tida como a mais mortal das montanhas, devido sua dificuldade de acensão, tornou-se alvo de Waldemar que durante os treinamentos escalara outras três montanhas com mais de 8000 metros: Cho Oyo; Shisha Pangma e Gasherbrum, sendo a segunda maior montanha do mundo o K2 somente se rendeu o Brasileiro na terceira tentativa.

   Trango Tower surgiu rumo ao K2, à esquerda do Glaciar Baltoro, sua vertiginosa verticalidade chamam muito a atenção, 1.500 metros transformam a face leste na maior parede vertical do mundo. Também conhecida como Nameless Tower ou Torre Sem Nome, foi escalada a primeira vez em 1976. Sua segunda ascensão aconteceu apenas onze anos depois e até hoje somente 72 heróicos alpinistas chegaram no alto dos seus 6.251 metros de altitude, em um total de apenas 24 expedições com êxito.

   Trata-se de um dos maiores desafios do alpinismo mundial, porém sua altitude, as constantes avalanches de neve e pedra, os raros intervalos de bom tempo, obrigam grandes alpinistas a tirar este sonho da cabeça. 
   Em 2002, Waldemar passou a ser o primeiro brasileiro a escalar o Lhotse, a 4ª maior montanha do mundo. Em 2004, escalou 18 montanhas na Cordilheira dos Andes, a maioria conquistas inéditas para um brasileiro.

   Em 2005, para comemorar o aniversário dos 10 anos da conquista brasileira da maior montanha do mundo, Waldemar repetiu a escalada, tornando-se o primeiro brasileiro a escalar o Everest duas vezes.

   Em 2006, Waldemar escalou as duas maiores montanhas do Ártico, situadas na Groelândia, bem como as três maiores montanhas da Nova Zelândia, todas conquistas inéditas para um brasileiro. Também em 2006, Waldemar chegou ao alto da maior montanha da Austrália e escalou o Totem Pole, na Tasmânia.

   Em 2007, Waldemar tentou escalar o Makalu, situado ao lado do Everest, mas o mau tempo não permitiu. Foi feita então uma nova investida em 2008, quando finalmente a Bandeira Brasileira tremulou pela primeira vez no alto desta que é a 5ª maior montanha do mundo.

   Em dezembro de 2008 Waldemar escalou as maiores montanhas do México, e em janeiro de 2009 as maiores montanhas da América Central, situadas na Guatemala e na Costa Rica.

   Em julho e agosto de 2009 Waldemar tornou-se o primeiro brasileiro a escalar o Lenin (7.134m) e o Khan Tengri (7.010m), imponentes montanhas situadas respectivamente nas cordilheiras do Pamir e do Tien Shan, na Ásia Central.

   Com todo este currículo, Waldemar acabou se tornando o maior alpinista brasileiro de todos os tempos, e é reconhecido mundialmente como um dos mais completos e dedicados alpinistas da atualidade.

Graças a seu entusiasmo e alto nível técnico, continua elevando a Bandeira Brasileira aos pontos mais altos do mundo, dando exemplo de patriotismo, dedicação, perseverança, amor ao esporte e a natureza, o que o leva a ser reconhecido mundialmente como um dos mais completos alpinistas da atualidade.

Escalou em solitário o Aconcágua (6.959m), a maior montanha das Américas, situada na Argentina, em fevereiro de 1988.

1º Brasileiro a escalar o Ojos del Salado (6.864m), a maior montanha do Chile, em solitário, em fevereiro de 1989.

1º Brasileiro a escalar em solitário o Huascaran (6.768m), a maior montanha do Peru, em agosto de 1989.

1º Brasileiro a escalar em solitário o Chimborazo (6.310m), a maior montanha do Equador, em agosto de 1989.

1º Brasileiro a escalar em solitário o Matterhorn (4.484m), a maior montanha da Suíça, a segunda maior dos Alpes, em agosto de 1991.

1º Brasileiro a escalar em solitário o Mont Blanc (4.807m), a maior montanha dos Alpes Europeus, situada na fronteira da Itália com a França, em agosto de 1991.

1º Brasileiro a tentar escalar o Everest (8.848m), a maior montanha do mundo, situada na fronteira do Nepal com o Tibete (China), junto com uma expedição francesa, chegou em solitário até os 8.504m, no dia 4 de outubro de 1991.

1º Brasileiro a escalar o K2 (8.611m), a segunda maior montanha do mundo, considerada a mais difícil de todas, situada na fronteira do Paquistão com a China, junto com o italiano Abele Blanc, em julho de 2000.

Escalou o El Capitan, um dos mais famosos paredões de rocha do mundo, com 900m de altura, situado no Yosemite, EUA, junto com o compatriota Irivan Gustavo Burda e equipe, em maio de 2001.

1º Brasileiro a escalar a Trango Tower, a maior torre de granito do mundo, possui o maior paredão de rocha do mundo com 1.500m de altura, situada no Paquistão, junto com os compatriotas Irivan Gustavo Burda, Marcelo Santos e equipe, em junho de 2001.

Escalou o Half Dome, montanha símbolo do Parque Nacional do Yosemite,  paredão com 600m de altura, EUA, junto com o compatriota Irivan Gustavo Burda, em junho de 2002.

1º Brasileiro a escalar o Lhotse (8.501m), a 4ª maior montanha do mundo, situada na fronteira do Nepal com o Tibete (China), junto com o compatriota Irivan Gustavo Burda, em outubro de 2002.

The Alpine Waldemar Niclevicz
Waldemar Niclevicz, is Brazilian, born in Foz do Iguacu, near the waters more than the mountains, their contact with the hiking took shape when he moved to Curitiba - PR, hiking in the Serra do Mar were serving as stepping stones to greater conquests .

TAKING THE BRAZIL TO TOP OF THE WORLD

   In 2002, Waldemar became the first Brazilian to climb Lhotse, the 4th highest mountain in the world. In 2004, climbed 18 mountains in the Andes, most unprecedented achievements for a Brazilian.

   In 2005, to commemorate the anniversary of 10 years of Brazilian conquest of the world's highest mountain, Waldemar repeated climbing, becoming the first Brazilian to climb Everest twice.

   In 2006, Waldemar climbed the two highest mountains in the Arctic, located in Greenland, as well as the three highest mountains in New Zealand, all unprecedented achievements for a Brazilian. Also in 2006, Waldemar reached the top of Australia's highest mountain and climbed the Totem Pole, Tasmania.
   In 2007, Waldemar tried to climb Makalu, located next to Everest, but bad weather did not allow. Was then made a new attempt in 2008 when the Brazilian flag finally flew for the first time that the top of this is the 5th highest mountain in the world.


   In December 2008 Waldemar climbed the highest mountains of Mexico, in January 2009 and the highest mountains of Central America, located in Guatemala and Costa Rica.
   In July and August 2009 Waldemar became the first Brazilian to climb Lenin (7.134m) and Khan Tengri (7.010m), imposing mountains situated respectively in the ranges of the Pamir and Tien Shan, Central Asia.

   With all this curriculum, Waldemar became the largest Brazilian climber of all time, and is recognized worldwide as one of the most complete and dedicated climbers today.
